Terms and Conditions of Service

Effective Date: 13 March 2025

These Terms and Conditions apply to all wedding photography services provided by AURA UK EVENTS LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the client”, “you”).

 

1. Booking & Agreement

1.1 A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable booking fee (typically 40% of the total fee).
1.2 By paying the booking fee, you accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding agreement.
1.3 The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the wedding date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

2. Services

2.1 We agree to provide professional Aura photography services as described in your chosen package.
2.2 A full outline of the agreed services, times, locations, and costs will be detailed in your booking confirmation or contract.

 

3. Cancellations & Postponements

3.1 If you cancel your booking:

• More than 90 days before the event: Booking fee is retained, but no further fees are payable.

• Less than 90 days before the event: 50% of the full fee is payable.

• Less than 30 days before the event: 100% of the full fee is payable.

3.2 If you postpone the event:

• We will do our best to accommodate the new date.

• A rebooking fee may apply, subject to availability.

• If we are unavailable, it will be treated as a cancellation.

3.3 If we are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, accident), we will:

• Make all reasonable efforts to provide a qualified replacement.

• If no alternative is available, we will refund all payments made, including the booking fee.

 

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 You agree to provide accurate information and reasonable cooperation.
4.2 You are responsible for securing permission to photograph at venues and for specific guests (if needed).
4.3 You agree to allocate time and space for group and couple portraits during the event.
4.4 You will provide an appropriate area, table, chairs and power supply as per our booking guide.

 

6. Image Rights & Usage

6.1 You will receive a non-exclusive, non-commercial license to use and print the delivered images for personal use only.
6.2 You may not sell, edit, or use images for commercial purposes without our written permission.
6.3 We retain the copyright in all images in accordance with the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
6.4 We reserve the right to use images for our portfolio, website, and marketing unless you request otherwise in writing before the event.

7. Liability & Insurance

7.1 We have appropriate public liability insurance and will take every care in the performance of our services.
7.2 In the unlikely event of a total photographic failure or loss of digital files due to technical issues, our liability shall be limited to a full refund of any payments made.
7.3 We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control (e.g. weather, delays, venue restrictions, guest interference).

 

8. Force Majeure

8.1 We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, pandemic-related restrictions, or government orders.

 

9. Data Protection

9.1 All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR.
9.2 We will only use your data for the purpose of delivering services and communications related to your booking.

 

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
